African, Middle Eastern, and Eurasian Perspectives

The fact that the United States is the 2026 host country for the G20 process has led this year’s annual G20 Interfaith Forum to be held in Salt Lake City on October 15-17. This involved a number of invitation-only events held at various locations in the Salt Lake City community. One of these is a side event that occurred on Friday afternoon, October 16, from 1:30 to 5:00 pm, which was co-hosted by the Sutherland Institute.

The side event drew on the expertise of officials with varying responsibilities for political and religious affairs from Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia. Sessions were organized regionally to provide opportunities for sharing regional perspectives on how government officials can work together with religious leaders from differing communities to find effective ways to further the common good.
